Meet Mrs. RobbinsThank you for stopping here to visit Mrs. Robbins' Social Studies website. Here, you'll find course materials pertinent to all of the classes that I teach throughout the course of the academic year here at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.
Mrs. Robbins is in her 14th year as a faculty member in the Social Studies department here at Assabet Valley. She teaches a range of Social Studies courses that span across all grade levels here at AV, including United States History I, United States History II, Modern World Geopolitics, United States Government & Society, Honors History of American Architecture, and AP United States Government. A 2003 graduate and National Honor Society member of Leominster High School in Leominster, MA, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in 2006 from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, where she concentrated her studies in Historic Preservation and Art and Architectural History. Upon graduation, she accepted a full-time position as a Staff Planner and Historic Preservation Consultant at the regionally prominent environmental consulting firm of Epsilon Associates, Inc. in Maynard, MA. At Epsilon, she specialized in state and federal environmental regulation and compliance, cultural resource management, historic preservation planning, architectural design review, and state and federal historic tax credits. In 2009, following her tenure at Epsilon Associates, Inc., she worked at the Ephraim Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA as a long-term substitute teacher, while earning teaching licenses in history, and matriculating to UMASS-Lowell’s Master of Education program for Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in history. She completed her graduate course work in the spring of 2011, earning a Master's of Education with a concentration in Secondary History, and was awarded the university's Coburn Award for Excellence in Teaching Secondary Education. A lifelong resident of Leominster, MA, she is the currently an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Education at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. |
